Who we are
We’re a collective of community organisations, growers, and local partners working toward a better food future for Bass Coast and South Gippsland.
Together, we’re building a food system that is healthy, fair, and
sustainable, one that supports local producers, reduces waste,
and ensures everyone can access good food.
Our Alliance
The Bass Coast South Gippsland Food System Alliance is dedicated to promoting our local food culture. We strive to connect our community with the freshest, sustainably produced food, fostering a healthy and resilient local food system.
Our mission is to ensure everyone has access to locally grown, high-quality produce. By prioritising sustainability and supporting local growers and farmers, we aim to create a thriving food economy that values the well-being of our community and the environment.

The Bass Coast South Gippsland Food System Alliance acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands where this alliance is located: the Bunurong and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, and the Brataualung people of the Gunaikurnai Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and we honour the way First Nations people have cared for the soil, waterways and Country for thousands of years, continuing to guide us in caring for Country today.
