Connect with your soil, community, and food system! The Bass Coast South Gippsland Food System Alliance is proud to present two Introduction to Permaculture courses in Korumburra and Fish Creek through our Healthy Soils, Healthy People initiative.
Whether you're a complete beginner, looking to refresh your knowledge, or eager to make your home and garden more self-sustaining, join us for our hands-on Introduction to Permaculture course!
Led by experienced permaculture educators Penelope Swales (founder of Piggery Road Permaculture) and Carolyn Rowson (founder of Kongwak Nursery & Community Garden), this two-day course will send you home brimming with practical ideas for your own property.
Korumburra:
When: Saturday 22 & Saturday 29 August | 8:45 AM – 5:00 PM

Course Fees
Cost: Full $60 | Concession $50
This Learn Local course is supported by the Victorian Government through the Adult, Community and Further Education Board. Presented by Piggery Road Permaculture & Produce in partnership with local community organisations.
Across two full days, you will discover the foundational ethics and design principles of permaculture and put them into practice with hands-on workshops:
Practical Gardening Skills: Hot-composting techniques, building no-dig garden beds, and seed-saving.
Site & Micro climate Design: Master sector analysis (harnessing sun, wind, water, and shade) and zone planning.
Integrated Ecosystems: Understand soil health, pH testing, water conservation, and how plants and animals support each other.
